In our Discipleship Groups we seek to encourage each other in Christian discipleship within small groups. We worship, study God's word together, support each other in prayer and encouragement as we grow in our relationships with each other and with Jesus.
The Discipleships incorporate worship, bible study, prayer, discipling, fellowship, outreach and supporting each other as we journey together and learn more about God. There are many groups within the church which cater for different types of people, running on different days and times of the week, so there is a group that will suit you. The Bible studies make up a large part of the group time, and they range from topical studies to traditional studies where we look at a passage of the Bible and discuss its meaning for us today. Another important part of the Groups is the love, care and support that they offer one another by praying, sharing, listening and giving practical help when needed. People who are involved in our discipleship groups often reflect on how much they grow and feel cared for as a result of the interaction within the group. Several times each year our Discipleship Groups have social nights/events which have a dual purpose of allowing the members of the groups to relax together, and also reach out to others outside the group in order to build rapport. These social outings include dinners, ten pin bowling, putt-putt golf etc. Our Discipleship Groups also take part in various outreach events, where we seek to reach out further to the community. These include helping in activities such as Free Family Fun in the Park, the Community Christmas Party, or the giving of time and talents to help in other ways.
